Well after a lul in IPX Tornements it’s time for the WETTITS Comp

Rules
A best of 3 games will be played with both teams playing Objective Mode as teams..
The winning team of the 3 games will then face off with a game of Last Man Standing…

May will be Tuesday’s W:ET Prac days and the games will be played on

don’t know what happened with w et last night, it was fine on the first server for me, then when we switched it kept trying to download a pbpub client 2007021 at 2kps, almost got there twice and then had a server time out. what was the diff between the two servers that would have made the diff. Tried a couple of other pub servers and had no probs so not sure. Help me i’m limp.
W:ET can be a PITA like that
It’s been around so long that there are several mods, all at different versions, and whole lots of custom maps, sounds, skins etc. etc.
Nearly every server you join will have you downloading something or other. In this case it is the “ET Pub” mod client (http://etpub.org), but not the latest version.
I found the file at http://et.joyrex.net/downloads/etpub/etpub_client-20070213.pk3, and it downloads very fast. Put it in your etwolf/etpub directory and you’ll be able to join that server.
Server bookers: You dropped the ETPro server, in order to get people in, but accidentally got ETPub — which is simply another mod. I would suggest either ETPro, or find the “Vanilla” setting — it might be called ETMain.

funny i had already downloaded that file from somewhere but hadn’t extracted all the files from the zip properly, so fingers crossed it might work now.

Uninstalled,installed twice, still no go, deleted all files and redownloaded all files from diff source, reinstalled seems to be working on etpub servers? fingers, legs and balls crossed. I am limp
